Adult Class Depending on the number of adult (18yrs and older) students, an all-adult class may be formed. The adult class may be virtual and possibly on a weeknight rather than Saturday mornings. The JLS teacher will work with the students to determine an acceptable schedule. Registration Deadlines: For returning students (and siblings) is Friday, July 26, 2024. Returning students registered by this date are guaranteed placement in their designated class. New students registered by Friday, July 12, 2024 will be placed in the closest matching class based on space available. After this date, registrations will still be accepted but space in a class is not guaranteed and the student may not be placed into a class on the first day of school. Space is limited to 10 students per class. Withdrawal Deadlines: Monday, September 23, 2024 for full tuition refund; after September 23, 2024 there is a 75% refund of tuition fees After Monday, October 7, 2024 there is a 50% refund of tuition fees After Monday, October 21, 2024, no refund. NO EXCEPTIONS. If late registrants cannot be placed in a class, tuition will be refunded in full except for the non-refundable Registration Fee of $50. For withdrawal notification and refunds, please contact the JLS Clerical Assistant (jls@sjbetsuin.org), your JLS teacher, JLS Parent Association and the San Jose Buddhist Church Betsuin office at 408-293-9292 (Monday-Friday 8:30am-5:00pm; Saturday-Sunday 8:30am-4:30pm) to ensure proper and timely refunds. Mailed withdrawal notices must be postmarked by the deadline date.
